National & Federal Laboratories

The BNERC project leverages resources from national and federal laboratories to conduct its research and advance its goals.

• Sanford Underground Research Facility: BNERC researchers, led by Dr. Rajesh Sani, will be collecting samples from this facility to bioprospect for thermophilic N₂-fixing bacteria. This collaboration is a key component of the project's goal to build research capacity and infrastructure for a new BioNitrogen Economy.
