Undergraduate

The BNERC will offer valuable paid undergraduate research fellowships at each of the participating South Dakota institutions. These fellowships provide hands-on experience and serve as a crucial step in the students' academic and professional development. In addition to their research duties, undergraduate fellows will be required to participate in several key events, including:

• Attending the annual undergraduate EPSCoR research symposium.

• Taking part in the annual Mole Day Celebration and Research Symposium.

• Participating in a one-day Summer Bioinformatics Workshop each year.

The program places a high value on student contributions, and as such, all undergraduate students are expected to present their research findings at meetings and will receive co-authorship credit on publications that result from their work.
