The BioNitrogen Economy Research Center (BNERC) is committed to developing a skilled and diverse engineering workforce. The program will meticulously develop and document workforce development initiatives centered on data-driven biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) and its wide-ranging applications. The central goal is to cultivate an inclusive environment, actively promote diversity within STEM fields, and effectively prepare a new generation of professionals to support sustainable economic growth in the industry. The center has an ambitious target of engaging at least 211 participants, encompassing a wide range of individuals from seasoned professionals and faculty members to early-career researchers, graduate students, undergraduates, high school students, teachers, and members of the community. This broad approach ensures that the program has a lasting impact at multiple levels of the educational and professional pipeline.
